We are excited to invite you to participate in the Acres Homes Juneteenth Parade, taking place on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The parade route begins at 6719 West Montgomery Road and concludes at 1620 Dolly Wright Street.
Why Join the Parade?
Free participation— no entry fee and the event is open to the public at no cost!
Honor the legacy of Congressman Sylvester Turner and continue his mission to strengthen community ties.
Engage directly with Acres Homes residents and bring awareness to your services and resources.
Celebrate Juneteenth through a dynamic expression of freedom, culture, and unity.
Event Highlights
Each year, the parade features over 100 vibrant entries including marching bands, dance and step teams, floats, equestrian units, cheer squads, local organizations, classic cars, DJs, and more. Expect high energy, live commentary, giveaways, water stations, and plenty of opportunities to connect with the community.

We are excited to invite you to participate in the Acres Homes Juneteenth Parade, taking place on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The parade route begins at 6719 West Montgomery Road and concludes at 1620 Dolly Wright Street.
Hosted by Ashley Turner Captain, this beloved community tradition—created in 2008 by the late Honorable Sylvester Turner—has become a signature celebration in Acres Homes, one of Houston’s historic neighborhoods and a cornerstone of the Complete Communities initiative. We anticipate welcoming more than 5,000 attendees for a day filled with pride, culture, and community connection.
