Welcome to the latest edition of the Congressional Black  Caucus Foundation's InFocus quarterly newsletter! As we step into a new season, we are thrilled to share with you the impactful strides we've made in our mission to advance the global Black community. In this newsletter, you will find a wealth of information ranging from upcoming events that you can participate in, groundbreaking research findings, opportunities for internships and scholarships, as well as inspiring stories from the individuals whose lives have been touched by your generous support. Journal of the Center for Policy Analysis & Research In February 2024, we released our new Journal of the Center for Policy Analysis & Research (JCPAR), “The Nexus: Defining the Moment.” This special edition of research highlights how the past five year’s have been transformative for the Black community, and this period, colored by a polarized Trump presidency, a divided congress, and the highest number of Black American elected officials since the Reconstruction Era, has brought us to a nexus. Featuring 11 articles of research, the JCPAR provides insight into the issues impacting Black communities and actionable solutions for policymakers. A special thank you to our friends at the African American Policy Forum and Dr. Kimberlé Crenshaw for joining CBCF and our Vice President of CPAR, Dr. Jonathan M. Cox for a timely conversation. This year’s event featured a five-panel discussion on the pathways to equity for Black women in healthcare and highlighted the issues around mental health, fibroids, breast cancer, and more. Information and resources are coming to PV Community, now that you have it, let's use it to help as many of our youth as possible. 

As a World Youth Foundation Board Member, I am helping to expand this 34 year old organizations programs into our area so more PVAMU and local school students can benefit. 

They have apprenticeships, internships, entrepreneur programs and more!

Congressional Black Caucus trip they have done to Washington DC for 29 years is in September.
