ID for all! Thursday June 30th

The Texas Organizing Project (TOP) and Neighborhood Centers Inc (NCI) invite you to participate in our #ID4ALL Forum on Thursday, June 30th from 5:30 - 8pm at Leonel Castillo Community Center, 2101 South St, Houston, TX 77009.
Many Houstonians lack access to government-issued identification cards, which creates barriers for folks without a permanent address to access local city services and apply for jobs, for moms to volunteer at their kids’ schools, for families to access critical medical care or open a bank account, and for our neighbors to be able to identify themselves in interactions with the police. With a city ID, all of us who are proud to call Houston home can be recognized as Houstonians, regardless of immigration status, homeless status, income or age.
Come and learn about an innovative program that decreases violent crime and increases public trust between police and community members. At the forum we will learn about the need in our community and about similar initiatives in place in New York City and North Carolina. Join us to learn how Houston can be the first city in Texas to honor all of its residents with IDs for ALL!
Contact Constance C. Luo, Immigration Organizer, at cluo@organizetexas.org or 832-494-8406.

#ID4ALL
