Houston's COVID-19 UPDATE

Houston’s COVID-19 positivity rate is 2.6%, a slight increase from last week. The wastewater virus load is up slightly to 31% of the baseline. Make sure you're up to date with vaccinations to help keep the numbers low. Free vaccination sites: GetVaxxedHouston.org or 832-393-4220.

The Houston Health Department offers free COVID-19 testing and vaccination sites across the city every week. Find a nearby site at HoustonHealth.org or by calling 832-393-4220.

COVID-19 Community Level

Houston’s CDC COVID-19 Community Level is now LOW. Please stay up to date with your vaccinations and get tested if you have symptoms. Of course, people may choose to wear a mask at any time and it's still required on public transit. http://ow.ly/sm8O50IlXnQ

Second Boosters for Eligible Individuals

People eligible for the added protection of a second COVID-19 booster shot can now receive it at Houston Health Department vaccination sites. People over the age of 50 and certain immunocompromised individuals who received an initial booster dose at least four months ago are eligible for another mRNA booster, based on updated FDA authorization and CDC guidance issued this week.
