All this sounds like a really good opportunity for young Black scholars. I received from a dean at an HBCU I work with. Please share the info and ensure they note that the deadline is in a couple of weeks. Interested students should follow-up with the person listed on the email below.

Subject: Accelerated Integrated Engineering Master's program for Non-Engineers
Hello Board Members,
I thought I would share with you an email I have sent out about our new program.
Thank you for sharing information about our full ride STEM scholarship program to your students earlier this year. Meet our scholars here. We could not have found them without you. I will reach out soon to find the 2023 scholars.
I'm writing to you about our new and unique program in case any Black students would like to combine their liberal arts background with STEM at the master's level.
The Wade Institute of Technology (WIT) is an experiential new college with a unique structure providing students of African descent the opportunity and support needed to create a STEM program tailored to their interests and talents.
We are launching a 24-month graduate integrated engineering school, open to those with undergraduate degrees in a STEM discipline as well as those with undergraduate degrees in the liberal arts.
As the gatekeepers to your students’ futures, we’re asking you to please share information about WIT with any of your students and other Black students whom you believe could benefit from our program.
What we’re looking for
An initial cohort of up to 10 very talented individuals for aDesign Year beginning on September 5, 2022. Students admitted for the Design Year receive a full-ride scholarship: tuition, housing, books and materials, and a monthly stipend for food and other expenses.
How it works
The Design Year allows faculty and students to partner on a student-centric curriculum for the 24-month program. Design Year participants will be the first program cohort.
Summer Studio at Frank Olin College of Engineering: July 18-22, 2022
(An opportunity to collaborate and present as a preview to the Design Year)
Design Year: September 2022 – August 2023
Year 1: September 2023 – August 2024
Year 2: September 2024 – August 2025
(Students with a STEM bachelor’s degree will complete in 12-18 months.)
You can find additional details on the types of students the program serves, as well as specific program attributes and requirements, here. Note that this degree program is not designed for those who seek to become skilled technologists. Instead, it’s for those who want to provide broad-based management and leadership roles in technology fields with expertise in such areas as Systems Engineering, Engineering Analytics, and Software Engineering, to name just a few.
Also note that because it is new, this program is not accredited. We cannot become accredited until after our first cohort of graduates.
We invite interested students to respond with any questions orapply to the program by July 29. Preference will be given to applicants received by July 15.
If you have questions, please reach out to me and I’ll be happy to advise you.
Regards,
Lorna Jones
