Why Baseball for my boy or girl...well speaking as a parent both my kids Maria and Evan played in South Central from t-ball to Majors ..Maria did girls softball after minors.. (and in Evan's case through Varsity in High School)... it teaches TEAMWORK, BEING DEPENDABLE, PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT, INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY TO DO YOUR BEST -- all skills that take you far in the workplace and as a family member. And if you are passionate about BASEBALL or SOFTBALL you can be be tall, short, overweight or underweight... and STILL be a great baseball or softball player!! And if you decide to go "pro" the longest careers, older ages of players, the salaries of all the team players and not just the stars, and the risks of injury -- COMPARE BASEBALL TO that other popular sport in Texas... and well... plus it can help in getting into colleges --its an extracurricular where you can have your coach write a recommendation of your character and you can contribute to the school and gives you an edge against a similar applicant.
