Houston Public Library Hosts Hip Hop Literacy Event limited to 250 Fans of Trae tha Truth

Good afternoon everyone,
 
I am so excited to tell you about the Hip Hop for Literacy program, we are hosting here at the Houston Public Library on Sunday July 23, 2017. This event is in partnership with rapper Trae tha Truth. When Trae is not in the studio, he is out and about actively serving the community through his annual Trae Day event. This year marks the 10 year anniversary of him diligently giving back to the City of Houston.
 
During the Hip Hop for Literacy event , there will be Free scholarship money given away in order to go to college, start a business, become a licensed cosmetologist, barber, weaver etc. and record a studio album!  All compliments of Hip Hop Recording Artist Jazz Anderson, the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, No Sisters left Behind, Heights International Athletics,  Barron Recording Studio and Franklin Beauty School. The scholarship award ceremony will take place from 11am to 12:45pm
 
After the scholarship reception there will be a special event for Trae and his fans to get free books, listen to local artists and get autographs and pictures with Trae, Neo soul artist Raheem Devaughn,  Jazz Anderson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers player Javorski Lane, Beverly Broadus green and many more!  The corrected time is1:30pm -4pm.  There will be a limit of 275 fans.
 
 
Press is invited to both events at the library, but must RSVP by emailing to hiawatha.henry@houstontx.govor you can wait on the official press release from our Communications department.

  1. I went to this place with local friends and we had a blast here. The long happy hour definitely ensures a full upstairs, but I'd recommend the quieter downstairs at San Francisco venues to enjoy your stuffed burger and fries!
