Please join me at Project Row Houses (2521 Holman Street) tomorrow Saturday, October 14 from 4-7 PMas we open the installations of Round 47, titled The Act of Doing: Preserving, Revitalizing, and Protecting Third Ward. Twice a year, PRH invites artists to take over the Art Houses on Holman Street and construct installations inspired by and reflective of our community. In The Act of Doing, the installations both house poetic responses to and chronicle the development of the Emancipation Economic Development Council(EEDC), a community-led initiative spearheaded by PRH to develop strategies for revitalizing the neighborhood.
PRH will also be hosting a community market organized by Free Market Square in conjunction with the opening that features vendors from the Third Ward community and beyond.
