USDA 1890 National Scholars Program 2018
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Monday, January 31, 2018 (postmarked)
- Up to $120,000 for full tuition, fees, room and board, laptop computer, printer and software, plus
summer employment
- To study agriculture, food, natural resource sciences, and related disciplines
e.g. non-medical biological sciences, pre-veterinary medicine, computer science - essay should demonstrate how student intends to apply degree to agriculture
Eligibility:
- US citizen
- Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0
- 21 ACT composite score
- SAT math/verbal/written score 1,080/ 1,000 for schools that accept only math/verbal score

Application Must include
- Official transcript with the school seal or an authorized official's signature
- High School Counselor’s Assessment Report
- High School Teacher’s Assessment Report
Upon completion of academic degree program, recipient has obligation of one year of service to USDA for each year of financial support.
