I want to invite you to a fantastic party that’s happening two weeks from tomorrow – Saturday, May 19th.
It’s the annual fundraiser for my favorite non-profit, the Houston Museum of African American Culture or HMAAC.
If you’ve never visited HMAAC, you are missing out on a real treat. We offer an incredible variety of art by local and national artists, along with wonderful representation from the African Diasporo. But not just fabulous artwork on the walls – we also showcase music, culture, and performance art from all corners of our diverse city
But back to the party! Our one big fundraiser of the year will be Saturday night, May 19th at the Ensemble Theater, beginning at 6:30 PM.
And this year, our theme is “A Party with a Purpose”, and you can come as your favorite character from “Black Panther.”
We hope you’ll dress as your favorite superhero, or in colorful African garb, and be prepared to eat, drink and dance to your heart’s content!
No need to buy a table -- the price for all this celebrating is $200 a ticket, which is tax-deductible.
