Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals in Houston -- Aerospace Youth Day deadline to register is Sat July 21st - DRONES and more! Ages 12-18

Please share this wonderful opportunity with family and friends.

The Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP) is hosting its 42nd Convention in Houston and as a vital component of the annual event, OBAP is presenting an Aerospace Youth Day on August 16th from 8am - 1:30 pm, which is completely FREE & LUNCH IS PROVIDED and open to young adults between the ages of 12 - 18.

As an organization doing great work in the Houston area, we wanted to cordially invite you to bring students from your program to OBAP's Youth Day at Marriott Marquis Houston.

Youth Day will include the Smithsonian Institute's Black Wings Exhibit which shares the journey of black air enthusiasts from the 1920s who, against formidable odds, realized their dreams to fly. Workshops presented by Houston's own Lone Star Flight Museum and the Academy of Model Aeronautics (drones), a visit to the Career Fair to learn about exciting aviation jobs, and a Youth Luncheon with several hundred inspiring aerospace professionals will make the day unforgettable! Attached please find a flyer including all of the highlights to share with youth and parents in your network.

If you would like to coordinate bringing a group of kids, I have also attached the group manifest to list all student names and the waiver which needs to be completed for each child. Alternatively, if you would simply like to share this opportunity and the attached flyer with your program participants, parents can read the very simple instructions and access the two forms needed to register their child on our website at obap.org/youthday! Please note the deadline to register all students is Saturday, July 21st.
