Students, Parents, School Personnel, Supporters, Partners and Members:

Our second ACT-SO enrichment meeting is this Friday at the NAACP Houston Branch office from 7-9 p.m. and is packed with information regarding the competition. We also have some dynamic presentations by individuals who will share valuable information related to many of the areas of competition. It is our goal to have discussions that cover all of the general categories. This week we are privileged to have the following:

Mr. Craig Johnson II, a Sr. Systems Engineer at National Oil Well Varco. He has been a NAACP Houston Branch ACT-SO judge in the STEM area. He is also an Entrepreneur and a proud graduate of Wheatley High School, where he learned computer programming.

Ms. Jean Donatto, an Entrepreneur, Educator and Performing Artist. She has been a National and Local NAACP ACT-SO Judge in the Performing Arts: Dramatics for numerous years.

Mrs. Alisa Nwachokor, an Entrepreneur and Licensed Registered Dietitian in Texas, with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and a Master of Science Degree in Nutrition. She has been a National and Local NAACP ACT-SO Judge in the STEM category.

The guidelines are also available on the website.

The NAACP Houston Youth Council invites youth to join in the celebration of the 110th NAACP Founders Day/Week at its Black History Knowledge Bowl this Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 3 PM to 5 PM at the NAACP Houston Branch Office, 2002 Wheeler, Houston, TX 77004. All youth ages (0-24 years old) who attend and would like to be members will be given a one year membership in celebration of the NAACP 110th Anniversary.
