While visiting MacGregor Park, don’t forget to check out the newest Agents of Discovery mission during the park’s operating hours (dawn to dusk) throughout the month of September. Agents of Discovery is an augmented reality mobile game for families to discover the nature of the world around them. It’s free to download from the App Store or Google Play store and can be played from your smartphone or device. Players follow the app’s clues to unlock challenges and questions along the way. The MacGregor Park mission can be accessed in English and Spanish. On behalf of the Houston Parks and Recreation Department, Houston Parks Board is leading a review of MacGregor Park 2016 Master Plan with consultant M2L Associates, guided by the City of Houston, Friends of MacGregor Park, and MacGregor Park Conservancy with input from stakeholders, public agencies, and community organizations.  Input gathered will be used to develop an updated master plan, which will be shared with stakeholders and the community for final input. A feasibility study for funding the project, as well as a plan and commitment for long-term maintenance will need to be completed before any improvements can be made.
