Solar Installation Training Opportunity: Project partners South Union Community Development Corp, Houston Renewable Energy Group, Houston Mayor's Office of Complete Communities, and the developers of the Sunnyside Energy project are collaborating on a free 10-week mini-certification Solar Installation Training class for local high school seniors and older. Classes will be held at the Sunnyside Community Center, Monday evenings beginning September 13, 5:30 - 8:00 pm. Class size is limited to 20 students, selected on a first-come, first-served basis, with preference given to Black and Latino residents, non-college track, and special needs. To RSVP, please email txteam@solarunitedneighbors.org. All students are required to have their temperature checked, wear a mask, and remain socially distanced.About Us: Peruse the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for more information about the Sunnyside Energy project.
