Get ready to celebrate! One of my novels is in the development stage to be made into a movie, coming in 2023.
Yes, of course, I'm excited that this novel will be my first to be made for the big screen.
The Promise at Koonville is a "feel good" story about two boys (ages 13) who meet briefly in the early '50s (in the middle of segregation) and decides to become friends for life. As fate would have it, they went their separate ways until they reunited in adulthood. Thru many twists of life, one becomes the only person with the same blood type which was needed to save the other's life.
But, you must read what happened in the interim, which created such a tight bond between them. They made a "Promise that could not be broken"--to remain friends for life.
he next one is on October 21, at the Deluxe Theater on Lyons Ave. Then, on December 3rd at the Buffalo Soldier Museum.
