Commissioner Prestage Kicks Off Listening Tour in Needville, Texas, Garnering Valuable Input from Residents.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all who attended the first stop of the Listening Tour in Needville, Texas. Your presence and participation made this event a tremendous success, and I am grateful for the opportunity to connect with you and hear your valuable feedback.


I had the opportunity to discuss a wide range of issues that affect our community, including public safety, infrastructure, and economic development. Your thoughtful questions and comments helped my staff and I better understand your concerns and priorities and provide insight into the issues that matter most to you.

I want to assure you that your feedback and ideas have been heard, and that we are taking steps to address the issues that were raised at the meeting. We value your input and look forward to continuing the conversation as we work together to make Needville a stronger and more vibrant community.

Fort Bend County Celebrates Groundbreaking of South Post Oak Sportsplex Phase II, Bringing State-of-the-Art Sports Facilities to the Region!

On Monday, March 20, 2023, Commissioner Prestage and Fort Bend County Parks held a groundbreaking ceremony for the South Post Oak Sportsplex Phase II Baseball Fields Project. This is an exciting development that will provide our community with state-of-the-art sports facilities for years to come.


The Baseball fields project is a $9 million investment in our community, and it represents a significant commitment to providing our citizens with the resources they need to stay active and healthy. This project will feature the construction of six new baseball fields, along with a variety of other amenities such as batting cages, dugouts, and spectator seating.


We are thrilled to be breaking ground on this project, and we know that it will have a positive impact on our community for many years to come. Together, we can continue to build a stronger, healthier, and more vibrant community.

Knight Road Extension Project Successfully Completed, Enhancing Transportation in Missouri City!

I am thrilled to announce the completion of the long-awaited Knight Rd. extension in Missouri City, Texas. As your commissioner, I understand the importance of having safe and efficient roads to support our growing community. After years of hard work and dedication, we are finally able to open this new section of road, providing a much-needed connection for the people of Missouri City.


Knight Rd. is an important artery that will link our neighborhoods, schools, and businesses, providing a critical shortcut for drivers who are looking to avoid the congestion of other routes. With the opening of Knight Rd., we are not only improving the daily lives of our residents, but we are also boosting economic growth and improving public safety. 

I would like to thank the Missouri City residents for their patience and understanding during the construction of this project. I know it was not always easy, and we appreciate your support and cooperation. I also want to acknowledge the efforts of the contractors, engineers, and workers who have helped to make this project a success.

The opening of Knight Rd. is a testament to the power of community and collaboration. We have come together to make this project a reality, and I am confident that it will have a positive impact on the lives of everyone in Missouri City.

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Celebrates Grand Opening of New Stafford Location, Offering Premier Healthcare Services to Fort Bend County Residents.

The Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Stafford, Texas is now open! I was grateful to join Kelsey-Seybold for the grand opening celebration. This state-of-the-art facility will provide our community with exceptional healthcare services, and I couldn't be more excited about the positive impact it will have on our residents


The Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is a leading provider of comprehensive healthcare services, and their new facility in Stafford will feature a wide range of medical specialties, including primary care, cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, and much more. The clinic is staffed by a team of highly trained healthcare professionals who are dedicated to providing the highest level of care to their patients.

As our community continues to grow, it is important that we have access to quality healthcare services. The new Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Stafford will help meet the increasing demand for healthcare services in our area, and it will provide our residents with the care they need to live healthy and active lives.


I want to thank Kelsey-Seybold for their investment in our community, and I look forward to working with them to ensure that our residents have access to the healthcare services they need to thrive.

Arcola Water Plant Now Operational, Providing Safe Drinking Water to Fort Bend County Residents.

It is my pleasure to announce that the Arcola Water Plant is now officially activated and operational. This new water treatment plant will provide clean and safe drinking water to residents in our community.


The activation of the Arcola Water Plant marks a significant milestone for the City of Arcola and Fort Bend County. It is a testament to our commitment to providing residents with high-quality and reliable water services. With the increasing population in our county, it was essential to build a new water treatment plant that could meet the growing demands of our community.


The Arcola Water Plant is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and has been designed to meet the highest standards of water treatment. It will provide our residents with a consistent and reliable supply of clean water while ensuring that the water meets all regulatory requirements.


This new facility is a significant investment in the future of our county. It will not only provide safe and reliable water services but also create new job opportunities and stimulate economic growth in our community. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to residents for their patience and understanding during the construction phase.

Fort Bend County IT Director Robyn Doughtie Honored with Enterprise ORBIE Award at 2023 Houston ORBIE Awards

It is with great pleasure that I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Robyn Doughtie, the Director of Information and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Fort Bend County Information Technology, for being honored with the prestigious Enterprise ORBIE Award for organizations with over $800 million in annual revenue at the 2023 Houston ORBIE Awards.

As a community leader and advocate for education, I am proud to support Fort Bend ISD's 2023 Bond proposals. These proposals represent a critical investment in the future of our students and our community. They will help to ensure that our schools have the resources they need to provide a high-quality education to all of our students. The proposals include a wide range of improvements, including the construction of new schools, renovations and upgrades to existing facilities, and technology upgrades.
