3rd Annual Cactus Jack Foundation HBCU Classic is set for Friday, February 14 through Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Daikin Park, home of the 2x World Series Champion Houston Astros.

Good afternoon, We are excited to host the 3rd Annual Cactus Jack HBCU Classic at Daikin Park in Houston, TX the weekend of February 14th-16th. During the duration of the tournament, we would like to recognize HBCU alumni that are currently giving back to their HBCU(s) and have shown accomplishments in their current careers. This will include on-field recognition prior to the 9 tournament games and each awardee will receive 4 tickets to a suite during the game. We are asking that you help promote this opportunity to HBCU alumni. The Classic is an annual, round-robin collegiate baseball classic designed by the Astros Youth Academy and Astros Foundation to highlight Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and their baseball programs. The nine-game tournament will feature Houston-area Prairie View A&M and Texas Southern University, and four schools from neighboring Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama – Southern University, Grambling State, Jackson State, and Alabama A&M University. Round-robin format with three (3) games each on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday State to State game matchups (JSU vs AAMU.; GSU vs. SUBR; TSU vs. PVAMU) College fair hosted by the Astros Youth Academy highlighting over 100 colleges and universities.
