A Japanese heritage friend sent me this
Today I went to the unveiling of a Texas historical marker in League City. I was pleasantly surprised that this occurred, given the current state of politics in Texas and the US. I knew Japanese were in this area with rice farming, but I didn't learn the whole story until this came up. I am so glad I went today, it was a lovely way to spend the Memorial Day morning.
I read the marker and it was so stirring...
