Sponsor Port City Links Health, Education, Science Fair and Carnival

Dear Friend of the Efamily Blog,

On behalf of the Port City Chapter, The Links, Inc., we would like to invite you to serve as a sponsor for our 11^th Annual Health, Education, Science Fair & Carnival at Sunnyside Park on Saturday, March 5, 2016.  Your support is critical to our ability to touch the lives of children and families in our communities.  We continue to receive many positive comments from parents and community members and leaders about what a meaningful experience that the Fair is for everyone who has attended over the years, especially the children. 

We are excited to share that over 500 children and adults attended the Fair at Sunnyside Park last year and were introduced to valuable community resources and increasingly important STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education and available careers through interactive exhibits, informational games, prizes, health screenings, brochures and "hands on” experiments!  Students were exposed to a petting zoo with farm animals and pony rides, along with science fair exhibits by student science fair winners—which we hope to continue again this year with your support. This year’s special focus is Heart Health; as heart disease is especially hard hitting in minority communities. In addition, we hope to add additional summer camp vendors and information on free camps to provide parents more options for their youth during the summer.

Your generosity will allow us to continue to strengthen our community and work to eliminate health and education disparities in communities of color. We greatly appreciate you and look forward to working with you this year. 

Donors who meet the print deadline of February 26, 2016, will receive recognition on fliers, press releases, Fair Blog, social media site, Port City website, radio announcements, and signage on the day of the event. We hope that you will utilize this mutually beneficial opportunity to support and connect with the Third Ward, Sunnyside and surrounding communities.
