Efamily member Karen Marshall invites you to be Deputized March 29th!

The Houston (TX) Chapter of the Links Incorporated is sponsoring Voter Registration Training in collaboration with the Houston Area Urban League on March 29th. The training is a collaborative effort aligned to increase voter registration and support our “Get out to Vote” (GOTV) strategy.

Participants completing voter registration training will be appointed as a Volunteer Deputy Voter Registrar with authority to register eligible persons to vote. Individuals are charged with encouraging and helping to increase voter registration.

I also plan to bring my son Evan who will be home for Spring Break from college!

Don't forget your teen voters! Hopefully when Evan is home this summer he can participate in voter registration drives! I recall registering voters for the first time as a grad student in Philadelphia at a grocery store near campus for Mayor Wilson Goode's bid to become Mayor...and later in earnest in 2008 at Frenchy's  from 3pm-2am and at Denny's the past few years with my Links Chapter!  Very rewarding work ...
