Greetings Parents and Mentees,

Please plan to attend. This is for a great cause and an opportunity for us all to give back to our communities. The event involves the packaging of canned foods to be distributed to the homeless. So please come prepared to jump in and help out. All new mentees who have attended at least 3 mentoring sessions this year will be presented with their 100 Black Men Mentee t-shirt.   Please note that we are meeting in a different location. We will meet at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church at 3826 Wheeler Ave, Houston, TX 77004.

Applications and Mentee Code of Conduct Acknowledgement Forms
All new mentees must turn in their completed program applications as soon as possible. Also, new and returning mentees must turn in their signed mentee code of conduct acknowledgement forms as soon as possible. Links to these documents are provided below in the Document Links section of this email. These documents are also posted in the Document Library on the Mentoring Website.

What do I need to do to become a mentee?

If you're interested in getting involved, come to the next mentoring session. We normally meet on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays during the academic school year. We work with young men in the 6th through 12th grades.
Details about the next session can be found at the beginning of this email communication. You can complete the application and sign the mentee discipline policy if you decide to join. That is the first step. The second step is to attend our mentoring sessions at least 3 times. The third step is an interview which we will schedule after the first two steps are completed.
