FRom Senator Borris Miles "We need your help. SD 13 Election Day Poll Clerks and Poll Watchers are needed to assist voters and to protect our community from any type of voter suppression. These two positions are needed, especially in our communities on Election Day.
Registered voters interested in becoming an Election Day Poll Clerk must be available on Election Day, November 6th, from 7am - 7pm. This is a paid position. To apply, contact Nayada Arnold from the Harris County Clerk's Office by calling 713-274-9631 or emailing pct1jc@cco.hctx.net.
Registered voters interested in volunteering to become a Poll Watcher must be available to work on Election Day, November 6th for a minimum of five hours. To apply contact Jill Moffit by calling 713-907-3994 or emailing gemsbyj@aol.com.
With Early voting ending with record-breaking numbers. Voters are coming out to make their voices heard. I want to be sure every registered voter has the opportunity to vote. Please contact my office if you have any questions about these two positions or about voting on Election Day.
