IAGTE is a day established to help young women understand the opportunities available in the field of engineering. IAGTE activities include participating in hands-on, engineering related activities throughout the day.
We are looking to you to recommend female students who would benefit from this exposure to engineering. Registration is only available online through the event website, http://www.houstonswe.org/IAGTE. We highly recommend submitting the registration form online as soon as possible as we will wait list students/groups once we hit our maximum capacity.
In addition, alongside our IAGTE program for students, there will be a Parent Educator Program (PEP) for parents and educators. The program will highlight innovative education tactics to teach girls STEM and keep them engaged. During the program participants learn about engineering careers, scholarships, college admission and resources, network with SWE members as well as other parents and educators.
This is a free event and we encourage schools to sponsor their students attending this event.Teachers/Parents are not required to stay with the students throughout the day; however, there is a closing program that we encourage parents to attend.
If you have any questions, please email me at swe.ha.iagte@gmail.com
Sincerely,
Tamara Rodriguez-Diaz
