More updates:
- 1,149 people were tested at the first day of the new Delmar Stadium mega site and 1,500 appointments are scheduled there today.
- As Mayor Turner announced yesterday, HHD will open two more mega sites next week. Details will be provided when finalized.
- 41,357 people were tested at HHD-affiliated sites during the week of 12/16/21. That's the most ever in a week, topping the 41,325 tested during the week of 1/7/21.
- Houston's latest 14-day average Covid-19 positivity rate is 17.3%, up from 7.8% last week and 4.8% the previous week.
- The latest samples show a sharp increase in the amount of Covid-19 virus in Houston’s wastewater. The virus load is now 546% of the baseline, up from 142% last week, and 76% the previous week.
