For those young at heart, the Senior Tent will provide a gathering spot for bingo and other games. Come hungry. We will serve up turkey legs, hot dogs, nachos, popcorn and more. Don’t worry about parking—METRO has you covered. Park in one of three locations and METRO buses will shuttle folks to and from the park. The parking locations are Carver High School, 2100 South Victory; Lone Star Community College, 4141 Victory; Living Word Fellowship Church, 7350 T.C. Jester. “I look forward to a great crowd enjoying our entertainment, baseball, games and food,” Turner said. “Let’s all come out to the park and have a good time.” To help put Houston’s best foot forward, we need volunteers to help us spread the word to your friends, family members, churches, and/or organizations to make this a fun and easygoing celebration. Assignments can include assisting as festival greeters or tending any of the many booths that make up the festival’s infrastructure.
