The Orion Program Office will be utilizing the Agency DHA for the following vacancy:
GE/Software Manager (GS-0861-14)
The Avionics, Power, and Software office is looking for a Software Manager at the GS-14 level. This position works closely with the Orion prime contractor to define, develop, test, and maintain the Orion vehicle flight software as well as the software for numerous ground test facilities. Specific duties include activities such as:
* Leading an engineering team to oversee contractor process and performance in developing and sustaining high quality software on schedule that meets the stakeholder's needs
* Defining new vehicle capabilities, such as the interface with Gateway, and getting those capabilities implemented technically, programmatically, and contractually
* Working with flight operations and crew training to identify operational improvements necessary to increase safety or improve schedules
* Leading the transition from a single-flight development organization to a multi-flight sustaining and development organization that supports Artemis
