Harris County Clerk Elected President of the
International Association of Government Officials
(Houston, TX) – Harris County Clerk Teneshia Hudspeth is the new President of the International Association of Government Officials (iGO). Clerk Hudspeth was sworn in at IGO's 2024 Annual Conference held in New Orleans July 19-24, 2024.
“I am honored to serve as the new iGO president and am committed to the association’s vision of fostering excellence in public service,” said Clerk Hudspeth. “I look forward to leading iGO and working with my peers to develop strategies to help government officials now and in the future.”
The association aims to provide professional training and leadership development by promoting networking, technology innovations, educational programs, and legislative monitoring of national issues that affect county recorders, election officials, treasurers, and clerks.
Two legacy organizations merged in 2016, the National Association of County Recorders, Election Officials, and Clerks (NACRC) and the International Association of Clerks, Recorders, Election Officials, and Treasurers (IACREOT) to form iGO.
Clerk Hudspeth will serve as president through July 2025. She has previously served as iGO Vice President and Secretary.
