Greetings from the NAACP Houston Youth Council, Unit #6820-B,
We invite your child, grandchild, niece, nephew, cousin, or godchild (ages 0–25) to the November General Membership Meeting will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 3:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. CST at the NAACP Houston Branch Office (2002 Wheeler Ave, Houston, TX 77004).
The meeting is open to elementary, middle school, high school, and junior college students. No one is too young to participate in these opportunities to learn, lead, and engage.
Students must arrive between 2:40 P.M. – 2:50 P.M. and register by 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 15, 2025, using the registration form button below. Late registration will limit participation in certain activities.
Following the business portion of the meeting, the Education Committee will present the “Rescuing the Resources” Advocacy Program.
The purpose of this advocacy program is to examine the resource gaps emerging in public schools following the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBA). The program seeks to educate and engage students on the civil rights implications and inequities created by the OBBA in education. Through critical analysis and the application of the NAACP’s Four Areas of Power, students will develop informed strategies and solutions to promote equity and access within their schools.
