What is Project Invent Demo Day Houston? Demo Day Houston is our Project Invent capstone event where student teams pitch their product to a panel of professionals and showcase the journey they underwent from idea to prototype. Four awards are presented at Demo Day giving students a chance to win funding! Project Invent transforms learning spaces to empower youth as innovators by inventing for social good! Our goal is to (1) develop strong skills and mindsets in youth for engineering, product design, patent pathways, CS, AI readiness and the future of work through community partnership, (2) connect industry leaders to youth through impactful volunteer opportunities, and (3) increase opportunity in STEM and entrepreneurship as we move into a tech-driven future. Youth have built everything from smart wallets to help the blind detect bill denominations to devices to limit carbon emissions. We are a nonprofit redesigning the learning experience for the future, starting with youth further and furthest from opportunity. See a video of
