About SEED:
SEED is a volunteer-based not-for-profit program focused on science education and working with students in communities where Schlumberger people live and work.  SEED currently seeks a part-time (minimum 20 hrs/week, Monday-Friday) up to a full-time Intern with an education focus and basic knowledge of educational STEM Programs.   Candidate will also   assist with administrative tasks.  This is a paid position ($13-$16/hr. based on experience).  This position requires a 12-months commitment starting in March 2015.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with STEM curriculum development and review plans for 4th-12th grade international teachers
  • Attend, teach and represent SEED at local fairs and Schlumberger events (some events may take place during weekends)
  • Provide social networking support for Teacher, Student, Volunteer, and Coordinator communities
  • Manage media content (video, photography, marketing materials) on various internal applications
  • Assist with Web site content review/testing for www.planetseed.com
  • Track global SEED workshops and events through SEED database
  • Provide administrative support to SEED team members
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements:
  • Must be currently enrolled in Bachelor or Master degree and graduating on, or after, May 2015
  • Major:  Education, Information Technology, Educational Technology, or Electrical Engineering and other related fields
  • Pass company’s mandatory drug test
  • Complete company’s mandatory courses in quality, health, safety, and environment
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English; bilingual a plus
  • Experienced working with robotics platforms (i.e. Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Well-organized with strong project management skills
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
