3rd Annual Holiday Tree Lighting & Kwanzaa Celebration on Almeda

The Mayor's Office of Special Events & Council Member Dwight Boykins Invite you to the 3rd Annual Holiday Tree Lighting & Kwanzaa Celebration on Almeda (from Calumet to Southmore)  Saturday December 10, 2016 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm The Holiday Tree Lighting & Kwanzaa Celebration on Almeda is the official kick-off for the holiday season and is free of charge. The show features live performances by Kyle Turner, Dana Jackson and Studio D, Kwanzaa Drummers and Dancers, Houston Children's Chorus, and the University of Houston Men of Moores. There will be a tree lighting followed by a fireworks display.  Santa will be on site for photos with children and there will be a kids zone with rock climbing wall, a fashion show, interactive Kwanzaa Village and food vendors. This event is free and open to the public. The title sponsor for this event is Visit Houston & Houston First.
