The award-winning Frederick Douglass Distinguished Scholars program at American University in Washington, D.C. offers full tuition, room, board, books, and fees to exceptional incoming freshmen committed to excellence, creative problem-solving, and social change. Frederick Douglass Distinguished Scholars intentionally foster a respectful learning environment in which they come together to share a greater purpose, develop their potential, and prepare for modern leadership challenges.
The application deadline for the program is January 15, 2017. Priority consideration will be given to those applicants who apply by
December 15, 2016.
