The Emancipation Economic Development Council is hosting the 2nd annual "3rd Ward College Send-Off" on July 13th for high-school Class of 2019'. Students must reside in the 77004 zip code and be entering their freshman year of college or trade/technical school. Each registered participant will receive a monetary gift & care package to assist with necessities.

This is a community acknowledgment for and celebration of the educational achievement of young people in the historic Third Ward. The EEDC wants to extend a relationship with students and parents to support college graduation as well as nurture a support system among students and parents.
