Items to be Distributed
Food, milk, masks, COVID-19 pamphlets and medical related educational materials will be distributed.    Estimated number of family food packages for distribution is 1000.  The educational materials will be translated in Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese and hopefully, Korean.

Mayor Sylvester Turner, Congressman Al Green, State Rep Hubert Vo, State Rep Gene Wu, Council Member Tiffany Thomas, Council Member Edward Pollard, and other local officials and community leaders.

Volunteer Information
Having an adequate number of volunteers on the day of the event is critical; if we are to be efficient in the distribution of the food.  
Team Leaders for each site needed.

Volunteers will serve in the following areas/tented stations:
(1) Distribution Set-up - 6 Team Leaders
(2) Volunteer Registration/Check-In - 4 Team Leaders
(3) Food, Milk, Mask and Educational Material Distribution Stations - 8 Team Leaders
(4) Traffic Control on the Property.  HPD officers will control street traffic. - 4 Team Leaders
(5) Clean up and Breakdown - 6 Team Leaders

Volunteers are requested to arrive at 7:30 a.m. to ensure that everyone gets checked in and in position for a punctual 9:00 a.m. start.  The event will end at 11:00 a.m.  Breakdown and clean up should be completed by 12:00 p.m.

Attire/Dress
It is projected to be another hot day in July; so everyone should dress accordingly and wear sunscreen.

Available on-site

Restrooms and Drinks
Restrooms will be available and drinks will be provided for the volunteers.  

Mandatory Requirement
Wearing a mask is mandatory and socially distancing is strongly encouraged.
Masks will be provided on site.
