Erica Lee discovered the digitized interviews used for the documentary on the Riverside/MacGregor area that was completed in the early 1980’s and sent them to me today. The interviews are listed by name so you can select the ones you want to listen to. Of course there is an interview with Rev. Lawson and other notables. There are so many fascinating interviews. The one with Ms. Hattie Mae White is priceless as she discusses how she lost her home on Southmore when they built highway 288.
Feel free to share this with others. This digitized history is just another example of how UH has been preserving the history of the Greater Third Ward area.
