High School Students Alert - Engineering Tomorrow will host a LAB DAY! Thanks efamily member Astra Zeno for sharing!

High school students who did NOT participate in the January 30th lab day and did NOT receive a kit must complete the following: Student Kit Form

She can ALWAYS use volunteers to WORK with the Students - mentor, work on competitions (which 5 Girls Rock NSBEJr - her chapter wins NATIONAL AWARDS for their robotics and more!!) The girls in her program are AWESOME!


Dear NSBE Jr. Student,

 

Engineering Tomorrow, a nonprofit organization developed by engineers to increase the number of high school students who pursue engineering degrees with a focus on females and minority populations, will host a special NSBE Jr. Lab Day on Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 8:30 am-11:30 am (CST).  This event is free and will be led virtually by professional engineers and college engineering students via Zoom.  The schedule for the day is as follows:

  • 8:30-9:15am: Water Treatment Presentation (delivered by an engineer)
  • 9:15am-10:15am: Students work independently on lab challenge (during this time, students have the option to participate in Zoom breakout rooms that will be facilitated by engineers and/or college engineering students)
  • 10:15-10:45am: Q & A session with College Engineering Students (students learn about the college experience and what it’s like to study engineering, as well as get feedback on their Water Treatment challenge)
  • 10:45am-11:30am: Wrap-up session 

High school students who did NOT participate in the January 30th lab day and did NOT receive a kit must complete the following: Student Kit Form
