Encourage women seeking to advance their academic or professional careers, or considering projects to promote education and equity for women and girls, to apply for an American Association of University Women (AAUW) fellowship or grant! Deadlines for 2022–23 awards are fast approaching. Share these funding opportunities with potential applicants as well as faculty and administrators. SELECTED PROFESSIONS FELLOWSHIPS Special announcement! Beginning this application season, Selected Professions Fellowship applicants can apply for funding for any year of their programs. For women pursuing full-time study in a master’s or professional degree program in which women are underrepresented, including STEM, law, business, and medicine. Funding: $5,000–$18,000 Deadline: December 1 AMERICAN FELLOWSHIPS For women pursuing full-time study to complete dissertations or conduct postdoctoral research, or to those preparing research for publication for eight consecutive weeks. Funding: $6,000–$30,000 Deadline: November 1 CAREER DEVELOPMENT GRANTS For women pursuing a certificate or degree to advance their careers, change careers, or reenter the workforce in education, health and medical sciences, or social sciences and whose bachelor’s degree was received at least eight years before the award period. Funding: $2,000–$12,000 Deadline: November 15 INTERNATIONAL FELLOWSHIPS For women pursuing full-time graduate or postdoctoral study in the United States who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Funding: $18,000–$30,000 Deadline: November 15 COMMUNITY ACTION GRANTS For individuals, AAUW branches and states, and nonprofit organizations that fund innovative programs or that promote education and equity through projects focused on encouraging girls to select, before entering college, the physical sciences or engineering as a career. Funding: $3,000–$10,000 Deadline: December 1 RESEARCH PUBLICATION GRANT IN ENGINEERING, MEDICINE AND SCIENCE For women conducting basic research in engineering, medicine or the physical or biological sciences and who have a doctorate degree in one of those fields. Grantees are required to publish their research in a scholarly scientific publication and be listed as a primary author. Funding: $10,000–$35,000 Deadline: December 1 FACULTY, STAFF AND PROFESSIONALS: Help the next generation of women scholars and professionals and build your CV at the same time.
