Are you a Black- or Latino-owned company ready to surpass your business ambitions?

If so, we encourage you to apply or share an outstanding founder/CEO for the 2022 Entrepreneurs Access Network (EAN) program.
Ernst & Young LLP (EY) recognizes a lack of access to resources and capital hinders many Black and Latino businesses from achieving their full potential, and the pandemic amplified the impact of these barriers. As an expansion of our current entrepreneurial ecosystem (35 years Entrepreneur Of The Year®; Entrepreneurial Winning Women™), EY created EAN to help bridge the gaps for these leaders and companies to thrive.
EAN is a business accelerator that supports Black and Latino entrepreneurs across the US, with the goal of creating sustainable, scalable business enterprises. What sets EAN apart is its focus on connecting participants to an entrepreneurial ecosystem of connections, mentors, and funding support.

Who can apply?
►   Black or Latino CEO or founder of any privately held US company
►   The company bust be 2+ years old and 51%+ Black- or Latino-owned

What are the benefits?
►   Be part of a community of Black and Latino high-growth company leaders
►   Accelerate your journey with a platform designed for busy executives
►   Connect with advisors to the ambitious via 1:1 coaching

How does one apply?
Click below. Online applications are accepted through September 17, 2021.

METRO Small Business Capacity Assessment
METRO, through Procurement and the Office of Small Business, is always working to increase the number of ready, willing, and able small businesses that can compete and participate in its projects. The following short survey will aid in these efforts, as well as help METRO to identify possible barriers for a company to do business with METRO.
Comcast RISE stands for “Representation, Investment, Strength and Empowerment”, and brings together two of the company’s brands — Comcast Business and Effectv, both with expertise in the small business space — to help empower business owners with the tools, expertise and resources needed to navigate the economic effects of the pandemic. Recipients will receive help with their marketing, media campaigns and creation of 30-second commercials, as well as website and tech upgrades.

Qualifying businesses can apply to receive consulting, media and creative production services from Effectv, the advertising sales division of Comcast Cable, or technology upgrades from Comcast Business. Comcast RISE is now accepting applications from small businesses owned by people of color.

Go to www.ComcastRISE.com to learn more and share with your favorite Black business owner, so that we may continue to rise, together.
Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Loan Forgiveness Deadline(s)

Have you applied for PPP borrower forgiveness? Once all loan proceeds for which the borrower is requesting forgiveness have been used, borrowers can apply for forgiveness any time up to the maturity date of the loan (two or five years from loan origination).

If borrowers do not apply for forgiveness within 10 months after the last day of the covered period, then PPP loan payments are no longer deferred, and borrowers will begin making loan payments to their PPP lender. Example, a borrower whose covered period ends on October 30, 2020 has until August 30, 2021 to apply for forgiveness before loan repayment begins.
