https://science.house.gov/internships -- this internship came up on FASTWEB.COM (I recommend you get an account to get these internships directly). This one sounded like a good resume and networking booster.
There are other internships in the Democratic led Senate or Republican led House. Note: Committees are lead by chairs of the party in the majority.
The Office of the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology often seeks energetic and self-motivated undergraduate or graduate-level students as well as recent graduates with an interest in government and public policy for a paid internship.
Working closely with Committee staff, interns have the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of the congressional committee process, learn about day-to-day administrative operations of the House of Representatives, and assist staff with:
- Official proceedings (hearings/markups)
- Congressional oversight
- Policy and legislative research
- Phone inquiries
- General policy and administrative responsibilities
To apply, please send your resume and cover letter to the Intern Coordinator, Cody Elkins, at house.science.committee@mail.house.gov
