DENTIST SPONSORS DENTAL FESTIVAL FOR HUNDREDS OF HOUSTON AREA FAMILIES ON
SATURDAY, JULY 16, 2016. FREE DENTAL CLEANINGS AND EXAMS AND BACK PACKS FILLED
WITH SCHOOL SUPPLIES
HOUSTON, TX. Dr. KaRon Y. Wade and Houston
Medi-Dent (a non-profit organization) host a First Annual Dental Festival on
Saturday, July 16, 2016 in Downtown Houston at St Joseph Medical Plaza 2101
Crawford Street 10am – 3pm. Hundreds of children and their families are invited
to participate in free dental cleanings, exams, HIV and oral screenings as well
free immunizations. The Festival will also include; diabetes testing,
Breast Cancer Awareness, nutritional instruction, fitness coaching and other
health related services. In keeping with fun festival activities,
children will have plenty of play spaces, games and free food. Each
child will receive a backpack loaded with school supplies for the upcoming
school year.

Wade and Freda Epka-Powell founded Houston Medi-Dent in 2001. The
founders’ vision was to create an organization that would operate exclusively
for charitable and educational purposes by providing dental screenings,
preventive dentistry and quality dental and medical education. For over a
decade the organization has worked tirelessly to reach the underserved and
indigent. In an effort to reach a greater number of children and their
families, Dr. Wade created and developed the First Annual Houston Dental
Festival. She recognized the tremendous need during her early years in
dentistry. Dr. Wade found that hundreds of families risked their overall
dental and medical health due to lack of funds. The sole purpose of the
festival is to assist these families and alleviate their risk.
The First
Annual Dental Festival sponsored by Dr. KaRon Y. Wade and Houston Medi-Dent
will reach hundreds of children and their families. Admission is free to
all. All parents are asked register their children online at www.dentalfesthouston.com.
Adults do not need to register.
Houston’s
most notable elected officials, community leaders and Houston Texans’
Ambassador JJ Moses will participate. The event promises an exciting time
for children and their families while providing most needed dental healthcare
