Please take note that today the Houston City Council voted to rename Dowling Street Emancipation Avenue. Representative Garnet Coleman led the successful effort to change the name. Project Row Houses and the Emancipation Economic Development Council were very active in advocating for this change.
Project Row Houses is sponsoring a film on the life of John Lewis, January 16, 2017, from 6 – 8 p.m. in the Eldorado Ballroom near the corner of Elgin and Emancipation Avenue.
