About The "Original" MLK, Jr. Parade & "MLK, Jr. Taste of Houston:

On Monday, January 16th at 10:00 AM, the Black Heritage Society invites you to come and experience the Spirit of Unity as we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the 39th Annual "Original" MLK Parade in Downtown Houston! 

 

The parade begins at Minute Maid Park, off the corner of Texas and Hamilton, and will showcase many of Houston's own marching bands, dance teams, and notable community figures. After the parade, join us atLOT C of Minute Maid Park for the "1st Annual MLK, Jr Taste of Houston" festival! This family-friendly event features delicious food, live music and tons of activities for everyone! 

 

This event is FREE to the general public. Parade & Festival registration is still available online atwww.blackheritagesociety.org, or by phone at (713) 236-1700. Get ready for a great day at the  Black Heritage Society's "Original" MLK Parade - licensed by the King Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
