Mayor set aside $2M for Roof Repair

While many of the homes to be repaired through the Blue Tarp Program were initially damaged in Hurricane Ike, any tarp-covered roof of income-qualifying homeowners will be considered. I received the following email from one of our efamily members, Paul Joseph.

I attended a very insightful meeting last night at the 5^th Ward Multi-Service Center, attached is an application form to be completed by senior citizen home owners ​(all Harris County residents) ​in order to be considered for roof repairs.​ This is a very simple 4 page application form, seniors can call Houston Housing and Community Development Department for assistance and questions.​ Roof repairs can range from $​10​​,​000​ - $​25,000​ based on inspections​ by COH contractors. The project will last until the funds run out; I understand the COH just received an additional $2 million, so hurry! PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!
