www.synergisticstemoutreachcenter.org Robin's son will be teaching at this camp!

HI Donna,

As parents we are always searching for great experiences for our kiddos. Here is one I can recommend because my son Reed will be one of the instructors.

STEM Camp for June 2017 sponsored by New Beginnings Church and hosted by Synergistic STEM Outreach Center (SCFSTEM) at the New Beginnings Church Maker Lab near Cullen and Beltway 8 area. Kiddos from 1st grade - 9th grade can make and take STEM projects at each day's session. Sessions are limited to 8 kiddos for each activity for a personalized experience.

Dee Wallace, SCFSTEM Director, has over 10 years experience as a Robotics Coach/Mentor with FIRST Robotics (FRC, FTC, FLL), VEX, Botball, BEST, and AquaRobotics, Texas Lego Trainer, and chemistry teacher. She provides opportunities for kiddos to awaken their Inner STEM.

Reed is now teaching robotics coding and construction skills which he learned as a member of the SCFSTEM FIRST Robotics team "Gearnotics" where he was selected as a National Dean's List Finalist 2015. As a Team Mentor with Ms. Wallace Gearnotics earned a UL Industrial Safety Award at March 2017 Lone Star Robotics Regional. This week April 19 - 22 the FIRST Robotics World Championship will be making its Texas Debut at the George R. Brown Convention Center 9 am - 5 pm with closing ceremonies Saturday April 22 at Minute Maid Park. This will be Robotics competitions at its   very best (FIRST Lego, FIRST Tech Challenge, and FIRST Robotics competition). Several Houston area school districts will have teams competing: Clear Creek ISD (sponsored by NASA), Awty International School, Strake Jesuit/St. Agnes, HISD (Lamar/Carnegie), Conroe ISD, Katy ISD, and Goose Creek ISD.
