Twelve teams represented
by 60 formal educators throughout the nation are participating in the 2017
Microgravity University for Educators program. Educator teams represent 14
states and one U.S. territory. Teams were encouraged to design a solution to a
technical problem or an improvement to an existing solution identified by NASA
scientists and engineers. Educator teams submitted a Satellite Launching
Experimental Device design to be tested on behalf of their K-12 students in
JSC's Space Vehicle Mockup Facility.
Community members and the
public may view the testing events at Ustream. Live times are 8 to 11
a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. April 11 and 13. Follow the events here.
