The goal of Texas Children's Cancer and Hematology Centers Summer Internship Program, is to allow students the opportunity to gain experience and an introduction into the healthcare administration field.
The 8-week paid internship in pediatric hematology/oncology administration is designed for undergraduate university students.
Students will be mentored throughout this process, and will be provided with new skills and techniques to enhance their knowledge.
The program will begin on Monday, June 1, 2020 and end on Friday, July 24, 2020.
Job Duties
Assist with data collection, entry, filing and additional administrative tasks as assigned.
Under the mentorship of an Administrative Leader, candidates will be taught basic administrative skills, given an introduction into healthcare administration and receive mentoring for future career path.
This position will not be involved in any research or clinical activities.
Minimum Qualifications
Education Required: Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program of study
Experience Required: None Required.
Certification/Licenses/Registration: None Required.
Other
Must have completed at least one semeter of undergraduate education
Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a scale of 4.0
