Based on the positive feedback received from the 3,000 student participants last summer, the teachHOUSTON program is once again bringing STEM learning to your home at no cost with new lessons for summer 2021! Please share this exciting opportunity with friends, neighbors and family members.
What?
Two Weeks of Fun Activities
Activities posted daily on various STEM topics including:
- Mathematics
- Life Science
- Environmental Science
- Engineering Design and Innovation
- Physical Science
Use Common Household Materials
Participants use common household materials to conduct science experiments, prototyping and engineering design challenges designed by experts in STEM and secondary STEM education fields from the UH College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
Who?
Lessons are designed for students entering grades 6–9 during fall 2021.
When?
Starting June 14, participants will access 2–3 hours of engaging and hands-on mini-lessons each weekday for two weeks, including optional interactive components through Zoom and a private Facebook group.
