Thursday, September 21, 2023 9 AM ET | National Town Hall: Safeguarding the Truth to Strengthen Our Democracy This Town Hall will examine aspects of democratic erosion, such as censorship, the rise of disinformation, ideological polarization, voter suppression, and the weakening of democratic norms and institutions. 1 PM ET | From Awareness to Action: Unmasking Bias in Academic Medicine This session will examine complex issues surrounding racism in graduate medical education, the concept of race as a proxy for diagnosis, and the implications of race-based medicine. 3 PM ET | Cross Borders, Building Bridges: The Critical Role of Black Migrants in Black Communities The session will delve into the experiences and perspectives of Black migrants, and their contributions to the social, cultural, and economic development of Black American communities. Friday, September 22, 2023 11 AM ET | Building the Political Pipeline: Training the Next Generation of Civic Leaders This session will focus on mobilizing youth civic engagement and making politics and public service attractive for young minoritized communities. 3 PM ET | NREI Protecting Black Boy Joy This session will explore the disparities impacting Black boys and men and answer the question How do we protect Black Boys, so they can grow into healthy Black men and enjoy adulthood?
