JOIN NAACP Fight against policies at HISD

NAACP EDUCATIONAL ADVOCACY AT WORK -EDUCATION COMPLAINT FORM https://form.jotform.com/232487900308053 or in your browser https://form.jotform.com/232487900308053 Over the last several months, our NAACP Houston Branch has taken a firm stand in opposition to recent activities within HISD to include the TEA takeover, conversion of libraries into detention centers, the Superintendent's ability to sign contracts over $1million; just to name a few. Your local branch is working with our National NAACP and Texas NAACP on proposed litigation efforts and we request your assistance in this effort. If you wish to join our educational advocacy, please consider the following questions: Parents of Students: 1. Do you feel that your child is receiving equitable educational opportunities? 2. Do you feel that your child is receiving services in a least restrictive environment (LRE)? 3. Do you feel that your child is receiving a free and appropriate public education (FAPE)? Educators: 1. Are your students receiving equitable educational experiences, including rightful accommodations and services under IDEA? 2. Are your students receiving instruction in their least restrictive environment (LRE) as mandated under IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act)? 3. Are your students receiving a free and appropriate public education (FAPE) as mandated under IDEA? 4.
