JOBS, STIMULUS CHECKS, TAX DEADLINE EXTENSIONS COVID-19 INFO FROM ANN HARRIS BENNETT






I hope my email finds you and your family well. As COVID 19 continues to impact our lives in many different ways, I want to reach out to you and provide some COVID19 related information that may be useful to you and your family.

This week, Houston announced it will open two testing locations for anybody who would like to get tested for COVID19. You do not need to have any symptoms but you must pre-register by calling 832-393-4220. Testing will take place Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In addition, Harris County and The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) have other sites where you can get tested. Please click on their links above for more information.

Note: The 2020 tax filing deadline has been delayed until July 15.

For most taxpayers, payments are automatic, and no further action is needed. This includes taxpayers who filed tax returns in 2018 and 2019 and most seniors and retirees.
